Grothouse was recently in the September 2008 issue of This Old House magazine. The magazine included a feature devoted to purchasing, installing, and maintaining a wood butcher block countertop. Grothouse was contacted to manufacture the customer Walnut Wood Butcher Block Countertop and assist during the installation process.

A profile of Harold Dieterle, winner of Top Chef’s inaugural season and owner of Manhattan’s Perilla restaurant, included photography of Grothouse’s Zebrawood Table Tops. Grothouse worked with Dieterle to create the tables for Perilla, bringing a classy and exotic look to the interior.
The March 2008 edition of This Old House Magazine included coverage of the Newton renovation project, featuring a Burmese Teak Wood Island Countertop and a Burmese Teak Wood Table stained to match existing pedestal bases. Read more about the project here.
A Walnut Wood Island Countertop was featured in the March/April edition of Signature Kitchens & Baths Magazine. It has a Medium Double Roman Ogee with Notch and the edge profile carried through inset arcs on two opposing corners of the wood island countertop.
Grothouse’s products appeared in the February / March 2008 edition of Better Homes and Gardens Remodel Magazine, which included a Sapele Mahogany Wood Countertop with a bead and cove edge in an article on bringing a new fresh look to a kitchen.

An article highlighting the popularity of apron sinks was illustrated with a White Oak Wood Island Countertop by Grothouse. The island wood countertop, part of a kitchen design by Jean Buchen of KT Highland, included a large soapstone apron sink and became a dramatic centerpiece of the kitchen.
