Butcher Block Countertops with Trivets

Butcher Block Countertops with Trivets are the perfect solution
Butcher Block Countertops with Trivets are the perfect solution to keep your countertop safe from hot pots and pans. Integrated Trivets are composed of several routed channels in the butcher block countertop that hold multiple stainless steel cooling rods. The cooling rods are removable for easy cleaning and can be put in the dishwasher. Butcher Blocks are not available to be finished with Durata® and cannot be stained. Butcher Block Countertops with Trivets are finished with Grothouse Original Oil™, the perfect finish for preparing and direct chopping of food.
Designing Butcher Block Countertops with Trivets
The individual cooling rods are typically grouped in sets of six per set placed. Additional sets can be added to create a larger trivet area. Typically, each pattern of trivets measures to be approximately 12″ long descending to 6″ long and 7″ wide. Custom designs, such as round ball trivets and a custom trash hole (pictured to the right) can also be ordered.
Trivets are often placed close to the stove or oven for ease of use, or placed on each side of the stove, allowing plenty of room for hot pans. At Grothouse, we recommend that our customers avoid placing trivets near a sink to avoid water collecting in the channels. Rods are not sold as individual pieces. Please feel free to contact us for more information on designing Butcher Block Countertops with Trivets.
