Wood Tub Surrounds
Wood Tub surrounds contrast beautifully with crisp white tubs and shiny chrome fixtures. The plantation teak tub surround pictured has a 4″ backsplash on three sides. It is waterproofed with a Durata® Satin finish. This beautiful bathroom was designed by Design by Echelon Custom Homes. Tubs surrounds do require a custom template to ensure a correct shape. Wood surrounds are a cost-effective method to incorporate warmth into a typically cool area. They often complement other Wood Bathroom Countertops in the space.
Wood Bathroom Countertops
Wood Bathroom Countertops can be manufactured from any wood you desire. Popular green wood countertops are made of Plantation Teak. We do recommend Grothouse cutting out all faucet and spray holes required. This allows us to waterproof the cutouts and prevent wood damage due to leaks.
Vanity Countertops are typically finished with our Durata® permanent finish. This finish is available in Matte (sheen 10) and Satin (sheen 35). Staining the Vanity countertop to match cabinetry or flooring is also available. See our stock stain information for further details on our stock stain selection. Grothouse Original Oil finish is not recommended for bathroom applications.
