Grothouse on TV
Grothouse wood surfaces have had the honor of several television appearances. Grothouse is proud to have participated in seven house renovation projects for This Old House. Below is a summary of each project we have participated in.
Concord Cape Project
Grothouse, along with designer Karen Swanson, designed and created custom wood-matched products including Shiplap Wall Paneling, a Solid Wood Hood, Floating Shelves with Integrated LED lighting, Pantry Countertops, and a Floating Wood Countertop integrated with stone.




Cape Ann Project
Designed by Venegas and Company, Grothouse crafted a series of custom solid wood surfaces for the home’s offices, powder room, kitchen, and mudroom.
Sell It Like Serhant: Coming Unhinged
Real estate mogul Ryan Serhant visits the Grothouse shop in Germansville, Pennsylvania for an episode of Bravo’s Sell It Like Serhant. Ryan learns all about wood crafting in order to help a struggling kitchen and cabinet salesman finally make a sale!



Arlington Project
Grothouse crafted a Teak Wood Countertop for the kitchen island in the 2014 Arlington Project of This Old House.
Cambridge Project
Waterfall Wood Countertops by Grothouse were included in The 2012 Cambridge Project of This Old House. The countertops were an integral part of the kitchen designed by Kathy Marshall of K Marshall Design located in Wenham, MA.




Auburndale Project
Grothouse crafted a custom Sapele Mahogany Wood Counter for the 2011 Auburndale Project of This
Old House.
Newton Centre Project
Grothouse crafted a Sapele Mahogany Butcher Block Countertop for the 2010 Newton Centre Project on This
Old House.




Newton Shingle-Style
House Project
Grothouse crafted a custom Teak Butcher Block Countertop for the 2007 Newton Shine-Style House Project on This Old House®. Donna Venegas of Venegas and Company designed the incredible kitchen space. In addition, Grothouse made a custom table that was stained to match the homeowners treasured heirloom chairs.
