Grothouse butcher blocks will be featured in both the indoor and outdoor cooking environments

Chopping and cutting surfaces are essential to a well-designed and functional kitchen. As the butcher block sponsor, the indoor kitchen will feature a Sapele Mahogany Grothouse work table, designed by Tyler Florence. “We have worked in tandem with Tyler to create an heirloom table that will provide an essential work surface and adds the desired warmth to the space,” said Paul Grothouse, owner of Grothouse. The work table features a 4″ thick chopping surface with integrated knife slots and five drawers for convenient storage. The functionality of the work table is optimized by rolling casters, permitting the work table to be positioned anywhere in the kitchen. The table is artfully designed with clean contemporary lines in rich brown mahogany hues.
The outdoor kitchen will feature an American Cherry cutting board. The end grain butcher block is the preferred construction for serious chefs, as end grain does not dull knives and surface scratches and nicks can be easily sanded out. The rich American Cherry butcher block compliments the gray stone of the outdoor kitchen and is removable for cleaning and winter storage.
