Summary or notes: This 9” thick custom butcher block was painstakingly notched to fit into the perimeter counter tops. The block was then engraved with “Deer Cross”’ at the clients request. The Alder wood is finished with The Original Oil. By using this finish, the block is perfectly safe for direct chopping of food. If the chopping results in nicks and dings, the counter can be sanded and re-oiled to look like new.
