Notes: The homeowners needed a larger island countertop than the granite piece initially installed with the island. They needed to add seating without invading into the aisle space. They decided to add an arc to one side of the large island to accommodate additional seating without encroaching on the short sides. They desired a more rustic wood countertop and chose walnut with sapwood and knots to achieve the look.
