Wood Countertop Tables are common in many different types of spaces due to their level of functionality. They double as a food preparation space and a dining space. Because wood is so kind to fine china, many clients include wood countertop tables in their designs.

This Walnut Butcher Block Wood Countertop Table was designed by Jennifer Gilmer. This kitchen design won the 2009 NKBA Pinnacle of Design Award, a prestigious award that is granted to only one kitchen design every year. Grothouse offered a solution to the client who needed a table that could seat 6 people comfortably, while being moveable. The solution is a 6 foot round table that can be transported onto the beach front deck balcony located near the kitchen.
This Walnut Butcher Block makes for the perfect table top. This design exhibits the ultimate comfortable seating area. With a warm and inviting surface paired with cushion bench seating, who wouldn’t want to sit here to enjoy a meal? The Walnut Butcher Block Table appears darker than Walnut typically looks because of the lighting in the photograph.
We love this creative use of a Zebrawood Butcher Block, the table can double a food preparation station for direct chopping and then can convert into a dining table. The table was designed by Brandy Cohen of Dandamudi’s, Inc. This design provides creative interior design inspiration for small kitchens and apartments.
