Can I have live edge on all four sides?
That depends on the style of the slab and how it is cut, but it is possible. We also offer a Faux Live Edge profile.
Do I have to buy the whole slab?
Yes, you do have to purchase the entire slab.
If I don’t use the entire slab, can I have the pieces that are left?
Yes, those pieces can be utilized in different areas of the home, or we can send them unfinished.
Can I put a sink or a stove top cut out in a live edge slab of wood?
Absolutely! We will ask for the make and model of each item for the shop drawings.
Can I miter seem a slab to form an L-shaped countertop?
Yes, we can make L-shaped and U-shaped surfaces in either field assembled, or factory assembled configurations.
Can I design a Pastore table out of a live edge slab?
Yes again, we normally make these as factory assembled mitered seams for the waterfall leg(s).
Will, I need to support an overhang for a seating area?
Yes, we follow the same parameters for unsupported overhangs as we do for any of our construction styles.
Can I stain a live edge slab of wood?
We certainly can add a stain of your choice, and will then have to apply Durata® permanent finish on top.
What finish do I have to apply to the live edge slab to have the warranty?
Any of our finishes can be applied: either of our two pigmented oils, or our Durata® permanent finish or a mineral oil finish.
Will I get a final paperwork that will include shop drawings with a live edge slab purchase?
Yes, you will always need to approve final paperwork which will have a set of shop drawings.
