Grothouse has crafted wood bar tops for various basement design styles. Most basement wood bar tops are crafted in flat grain or edge grain construction style. Grothouse offers a variety of design options, such as any of our edge profiles, Chicago bar rail, drink rail, drawbridge doors, and Synthesis™ bar rail. Each bar top is crafted to the clients’ custom design, including all cut outs, features and shapes and arrives ready to install. By finishing the bar top with our waterproof permanent Durata® finish, the surface will provide a protective, maintenance free surface. Bar tops can include any of our stock stains and glazes and can also be custom stain matched.

Pictured is a Lyptus wood bar top crafted in flat grain construction with Synthesisâ„¢ bar rail. This basement wood bar top was designed by Roger Yiengst of Kountry Kraft. Grothouse also crafted a backsplash of Lyptus to match the bar top.
The Brazilian Cherry bar top pictured above was designed for this traditional style basement by Glyn Tindall Construction Co. The bar top was crafted in flat grain construction. This top includes a Standard Roman Ogee edge profile on the top horizontal edges and an upside down Medium Roman Ogee edge profile on the bottom horizontal edges.

Walnut Bar Top designed by PJ Stofanak Inc.
PJ Stofanak Inc. designed this Walnut wood bar top with luxury in mind. The bar top was crafted in edge grain construction. The overall bar design is very pleasing to the eye. A closer look will discover a bright blue countertop on the back bar that includes glass cabinetry doors for glass storage and a center glass shelf for displaying treasured pieces.

Maple Bar Top designed by A Designer’s Touch
A Designer’s Touch designed this Maple wood bar top. The bar top was custom stain matched and includes a Chicago Bar Rail. The lower bar counter is also Maple custom stained to match the bar top.
